No nation begins with nuclear weapons.
No nation begins with advanced research or simulation centres, and said centres must be constructed via detailed RP.
A nation must do an RP to gain nukes, including an RP to develop or gain Uranium, an RP to develop nuclear weapons, and an RP to test those weapons.
A nation can not develop what might be considered an unreasonable number of nukes in a single RP - this is up to the discretion of the moderation team.
All nations start with the ability to create nuclear power plants, if they so choose.
Users must use the nukemap when launching nukes to determine damage caused.
Damage from a nuke does not auto resolve, and repairs must be roleplayed.
It is highly likely that using nuclear weapons will increase unrest.

Supercritical Simulations OOC
@NCR Just so you are aware, after some discussion amongst the moderation team, we have implemented a new rule where no nation starts with advanced research or simulation centres, and such centres have to be created by detailed RP. Further, developing nuclear weapons is an in depth process, that will take a lot more than just two posts. You will need to RP gaining or developing the uranium, another RP to develop the weapons, and finally another RP to test the weapons.

To be perfectly clear, the second post was absolutely not the end. I was planning to write 8ish posts, then posts for conducting a physical test, and then TBS.
However, if simulations and the like are now banned (or at least, starting with them), please let me know if I have to delete the entire thing and start anew, or if I could amend that somehow (and how).
Sorry to bother you, and thank you for your time!
PS since that was definetly not my intention, may I ask what made it look like by the 2nd post I had fully developed nukes? If I know, I can at least avoid this mistake in the future, phrasing better what I meant to say.
Have a good day!

Re: Supercritical Simulations OOC
This part is where it seemed like you had developed a nuke:
You'll also have to do an RP for getting and refining the uranium.
Simulations aren't banned, but you have to develop and build the facility itself first through an RP, and then explain the capabilities of your simulations. From there you can conduct the simulations and such, though it needs to be a bit more clear that your explosions are done via simulation. You can put your current RP on hold until you finish the one where you construct the facility, and then continue it afterwards, if you'd like.
You'll also have to do an RP for getting and refining the uranium.

Re: Supercritical Simulations OOC
@NCR just a heads up that you do need to wait a minimum of 12 hours between replies for RP's that don't involve other nations. This can be exactly 12 hours, and no one is going to care if you're off by a couple minutes, but you do generally need to wait 12 hours between posts. When the development RP involves another player, you just need to wait until they've replied, and you can then make your response, even if it was less than 12 hours.
Re: Supercritical Simulations OOC
Oh, sorry I didn't know that. I'll be sure to pay attention to that in the future.

Hey NCR! I never got a change to say welcome! If you don’t mind, what’s your nation like? Politically and Economically? How democratic are you?

Hey! Thank you very much!Atomic Alliance wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 12:12 pm Hey NCR! I never got a change to say welcome! If you don’t mind, what’s your nation like? Politically and Economically? How democratic are you?
The NCR is very democratic, as it is a Parliamentary Republic.
I'm still writing my factbook & military traits, and as such a lot of details I haven't published yet, but to sum up the idea is that the NCR is very concerned about the wealth of its citizen (also wealthy people make in turn for a wealthy nation) and their education (after all, Democracy dies with ignorance), and the bettering of this two factors is one of the main duties of a given government (so important to be in the constitution itself).
Economically this means that the NCR is wealthy, has a very strong production, and believes in meritocracy and fair competition (eg. you may have noticed my attempts to establish FTAs with my neighbours); this translates to a state-regulated free market with a mixed economy type (I'm not saying the approach is the same, but a close IRL example could be Germany).
Politically, as I've said the nation is very democratic, but it still has some quirks; the main of which is probably that a specific high-education major is needed to be elected as a minister (eg. an economy-related major is necessary to be elected from the parliament as the minister for the economy).
This factors compound into making the NCR a very wealthy and advanced nation, with a focus on being on the edge of progess (you may be interested in knowing that this makes so that the love of your nation for nuclear power is often shared by many members of the NCR, which is extensively used by the NCR to keep the energy costs down as much as possible).
PS I also like nuclear power IRL, and absolutely DIG what you did with the Atomic Alliance ;D

Hey buddy, We share the same love for the Atom! I truly believe that Atomic Power and Research are key to developing a more harmonized society
Good to hear our governments share similar ideals - Im sure it will allow for some good RP in the future, possibly even some joint research projects to further both our nation's understanding of Atomic Energy

Agree!
Yeah, I think so too! I'd surely like that ;D

Re: Supercritical Simulations OOC
@NCR I'm going to ask you to slow things down a bit more. It's going to take you longer to develop actual nuclear bombs for proper military use. Even then, you're going to have to do a lot to get to 100 units. You can start with one or two, and go from there.

I'll delete (or amend) the last post then.
However, since that was supposed to be the narrative end of the RP, if it's fine with you I'd countinue the development using percentages (eg. like often the Atomic Alliance does) since I don't have other ideas I like to keep it narration-based (if you have suggestions, feel free to throw at me any interesting ideas).
Have a wonderful day
EDIT: I ended up amending the last post. Thus, I'm assuming that I can make a new reply right now (since the last one was supposed to be "old").
Please tell me if I'm wrong and I should have waited.

Hey, bud! I think the percentage idea would be best, just keep it realistic to your traits and capability as no one has presented any concern with my RP - I too have run out of Narrative RP for some of my development RPs
I don't think it'll be an issue since I have been RPing like it for some time now

Re: Supercritical Simulations OOC
Yeah, doing percentages is fine. The powerplants don't need to take too long, I've been doing mine in 4-5 posts, more or less. It's the nukes themselves that will take longer. Just don't leave it as solely percentage based, you should include some text as to what's happening as you make the work. Alternatively, you can wait a few days between posts and just presume a fair bit of work was done during that period, and post a summary of what was done.
