Other info: Since the early 1800's the Native tribes to the region had suffered under white settlers after their Southern ally was driven back. Then the United States suffering from internal strife crumbled under its own weight. With that also went what little protection they had left from the growing Mormon population. With the removal of Fedral forces the Mormon church took power and establishes the state they always wanted. That lasted for nearly one hundred years until a quick and bloody rebellion by a unified Navajo and Apache tribes carried out a beheading of the Mormon military. No major defense was able to be mustered before the President of the Mormon state was scalped on live television. Many white people fled to neigboring states but a good number were captured, slaughtered, or imprisoned. Nearly two hundred years of hate was dished out in two years killing nearly eight hundred thousand in the rebellion and bloodshed. The remaning minorities thrived under the new tribal council.
