Project Khanjar Pt 1 - Soaring Eagle

The Omani Ministry of Defense has announced Project Khanjar, a large-scale rearmament, modernization and expansion of the Omani Armed Forces. Project Khanjar will be broken down into a series of parts based around Industry and advancement of the branches of the Military. The Air Force's portion, the Soaring Eagle Project, is based around developing and/or contracting a new Multirole Fighter & Attack Aircraft to supersede the JF-17 Thunder. The Defense Ministry is open to a separate aircraft for the Attack Role as well as a single aircraft to handle all requirements, as well as separate aircraft for Naval & Air Force contracts. All foreign entries must be open to both direct purchases for initial procurement as well as Omani production on license.
