Collaborative Efforts
Sabmadi state-owned defense firms reach out to their Omani compatriots in EDGE, seeking to joint-develop a 6th Generation Aircraft to propose to both the Omani and Sabmadi Air Forces. Major considerations for the design include enhanced digital capabilities, the ability to have the single airframe capable of conducting piloted, remote-controlled, or onboard-AI controlled missions, Enhanced human-systems integration including virtual cockpits presented via helmet-mounted displays, advanced stealth airframes and avionics, as well as the possibility of mounting directed-energy weapons such as a laser-based CIWS system. @Omani Empire

Re: Collaborative Efforts
EDGE Group readily accepts the offer of cooperation, with its subsidiaries EPI and ADASI taking the lead in the development of the aircraft system. Chairman of EDGE, Faisal Al Bannai has personally shown great support for the project, and will be personally overseeing EDGE's participation in the development. Oman is especially interested in the development of a carrier-capable fighter with these capabilities to facilitate Omani naval requirements.

EPI and ADASI begin development in their respective fields. ADASI, specializing in Unmanned Vehicle and Drone design and manufacture takes head of those aspects of the new design, while EPI directly collaborates with their Sabmadi counterparts.

Re: Collaborative Efforts
ADASI developments in accordance with the goals of this program have proceeded towards collaborative drones. Ideally, these are utilized and commanded by a pilot in the air, although currently they are still commanded by ground crews. As currently envisioned, a pair of these drones will accompany fighter aircraft to provide additional reconnaissance and fighting capability without the restrictions of a human pilot. Initial developments have proved to be promising, though ADASI is still working on payload capability, as well as coordinating with EPI to develop, procure or modify an engine to achieve desired max and supercruise speeds.
